Cindy talks about scientific work tied to missions of federal government,
imagery of the earth, interdisciplinary nature of processes on earth surface, and... the importance of bio-geochemistry at NASA.
Cindy's background is in marine geology (igneous petrology), winding through Earth remote sensing and earth observation. She describes the Earth through images taken from the International Space Station, including cities at night and volcanoes before and after explotions (i.e., Mt. Pinatubo). Cindy is now researching in the astromaterials curation office at NASA.
