Knut is Professor emeritus at the University of Oslo, he has been elected Honorary Fellow of the Geological Society of London (the ancient in the world!). Knut has been appointed Member of The Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters and has received the Honorary Award from the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. PhD at University of Oslo
