Bob is an American noted petroleum geologist of more than 60 years and past president of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). Bob got the Sidney Powers medal in 1997 (given in recognition of outstanding achievements in petroleum geology). He is the founder of the Gunn Oil Company in Wichita Falls, Texas.
