Bert is the world's leading expert in using seismic records in interpreting regional geology, popular for his seismic atlases, he knows the Rocky Mountains like the back of his hand, works first at Shell then at Rice Univ., impressive list of publications and honors. Bert builds bridges from academia to industry, from geology to gephysics. PhD at the Univeristy of Zurich.

HE SEES ME, HE STARTS TALKING IN ITALIAN, HE KNOWS ALL MY PROFESSORS, HE KNOWS THEM BEFORE I WAS BORN. 5 PEOPLE IN THE ROOM, 5 HOURS OF SCIENCE WITH A "TALKING BOOK". DURING LUNCH HE TELLS THE STORY WHEN HE SPENT A DAY IN PRISON IN ITALY. THEN WE ROVER IN HIS LIBRARY, AMONG BOXES, LAMPS, ROCKS AND ATLASES, WE SIT DOWN AND WE TURN ON THE CAMERA FOR YOU.
