In 2004, Emiliano was awarded with the  &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.sepm.org/pages.aspx?pageid=69&quot;&gt;Twenhofel Medal &lt;/a&gt; (the highest award for Outstanding Contributions to Sedimentary Geology  assigned by the Society for Sedimentary Geology). EMiliano has been assistant professor of Sedimentology at the University of Milano (60-65), research geologist for Esso (65-69), Professor at the University of Torino (69-82) and Parma (82-07).]]></description>
